1. Daily and total drawdown tracking. Does it show live headroom, and can you match your firm’s basis and reset time?
2. Pre-trade validation. Are orders checked before they are sent, and which orders does that cover?
3. Open risk across positions. Not just per-trade risk.
4. Configurable actions. Alert, block new trades, close positions: at levels you set.
5. News filter. Currencies, impact and time windows, plus clear behaviour when data is unavailable.
6. Adjustable presets. Starting points for common firm rules that you can edit and verify.
7. Logs and a simulation mode. You should be able to test on demo without sending orders.
8. Honest claims. Be wary of anything promising guaranteed passes or profits. No tool can.
